I wrote a blog post this week about the importance of learning how to effectively communicate in the business world.
Just now, this morning, I read an article about how Warren Buffett, my friend and business mentor (he has no idea who I am), states the same thing—but I think he says it in a funnier way:
"If you can't communicate, it's like winking at a girl in the dark — nothing happens.”
My other good friend, Richard Branson, also concurs and says:
"Today, if you want to succeed as an entrepreneur, you also have to be a storyteller. Of course, it is no use being a good storyteller if your product or idea is rubbish. But it is not enough to create a great product; you also have to work out how to let people know about it."
Bottom line folks—if you want to succeed socially and professionally you will need to perfect your verbal and written communication skills if you want to successfully deliver your message to others.
TIP: You can start by attending tonight’s Christmas networking event at the Networking Leads
Coffee House. You can have amazing food while practicing your communication skills on over 123 RSVPs that we have received upon the completion of my blog post 8:00 am this Thursday morning.
